| News Little Rascals Out Of School started a Breakfast Club in September 2006. Children have breakfast on arrival and then play until the walking bus sets off for school. After much planning and organising, in 2006, we at last got our Play Area at the rear of the church site. Waste ground that had lain idle and been an eye-sore for years has been made over to create a safe and secure play area for Little Rascals Out Of School. With high anti climb / anti vandal fencing and a tarmac surface the play area allows all the children to get outside, run around and let off steam. Have a look at our picture gallery to see the before and after pictures. We hope you will be as pleased as we are with the final results. It’s our sixth birthday on 2nd September 2009. Little Rascals Out Of School opened its doors in 2003 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Our parents appreciate the fact that the children get away from their own school sites after school closes. The walk to the Club and making friends with children from other schools is a real benefit to all. The Head Teacher at one of the schools we deal with said that Little Rascals Out Of School has served the local community so well for many years. A lovely compliment. We were given the authority to take children up to the age of fourteen in 2008. There are no plans at the moment to advertise at senior schools or the local press. However, should you wish your child to continue coming to Little Rascals Out Of School once they have moved on to senior school we can accommodate you. There will be a separate programme for them and they would need to get themselves to us. In previous years we have had requests from concerned working parents who do not wish their children to suddenly become ‘latchkey kids’. So this move is designed to give parents an option once senior school is imminent. Since August 2008 Little Rascals Out Of School has also operated a mobile crèche facility for Watford Community Housing Trust. This was provided at the Town Hall for their open days and for their Annual General Meetings. For corporate events Little Rascals Out Of School organises the Risk Assessments, Insurances and deals with any Health and Safety issues etc. Our six uniformed Staff ensure that all of the children are happy and safe etc. Please contact Mrs Hine on 07763-214360 if your company would like more details. |
